1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how It Just Vibes collects, uses, and shares information when you use our platform. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect: account information you provide (email address, username/handle); widget code and metadata you deposit; usage data including pages visited, widgets viewed, and interactions (votes, comments, forks); device and browser information for security and analytics; and authentication tokens managed by Supabase Auth.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: operate and improve the Service; authenticate your identity and secure your account; display your public profile and widgets to other users; calculate your Vibes Balance and leaderboard rankings; send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset); and monitor for abuse and policy violations.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). We implement Row Level Security policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorized to view. Authentication credentials are never stored in plaintext. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for: maintaining your authenticated session; storing UI preferences (theme, layout settings); and caching widget state for performance. We do not use tracking cookies for cross-site advertising.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data: Supabase (database, authentication, storage); Vercel (hosting and analytics); and any AI providers integrated via the widget runner. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
7. Widget Execution Data
When you run a widget, the widget may store state data in your browser's local storage scoped to your user ID and widget ID. This data is only accessible to you and the widget you are running. Widget authors cannot access your personal data through the Vibes SDK.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Widget code and social interactions (votes, comments) are retained indefinitely as they form part of the public record of the platform. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; and object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the “Report a problem” link in the app.
10. Children's Privacy
It Just Vibes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
